Teachers College Press is the university press for Teachers College, Columbia University. We publish books in education for educators, students of education, teachers and other educational professionals including administrators, school leaders, and policy makers. At TC Press the Social Media Manager/Publicist works with authors to promote their books and is responsible for managing all online and print publicity efforts and raising the profile and awareness of the press and its projects, books, and brand. 

We are looking for a creative, enthusiastic, and conscientious individual. Bachelors' degree or the equivalent in education and experience needed as well as experience in publishing, marketing, or publicity. Excellent communication skills; including strong writing skills especially for website content development. Proficient in MS Office. Knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, and other online networking tools. Proven ability to handle multiple deadlines, work independently but also enjoy teamwork.

Experience in Wordpress, CMS, InDesign, Photoshop, Google Adwords and Amazon marketing a plus. Interest in education as well as proven success with promoting/publicizing a print or e-book also preferred.
