Job Description

The University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting for a Marketing and Editorial Assistant for Nevada Press. The position provides direct support to the marketing, sales, and publicity departments, as well as limited duties supporting the acquisitions and production departments. Other duties include, but are not limited to: supporting the marketing, sales, and publicity initiatives of the Press; handling final submissions of approved manuscripts and preparing them for transmittal to the production department; maintaining social media accounts; researching and submitting books for annual awards; designing ads, flyers, and conference order forms; preparing regular progress reports; maintaining calendars, schedules, and deadlines; researching and organizing conference logistics; registering copyrights; and other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s and one year of related experience OR a Master’s.

Related Experience: editing, marketing, and/or book publishing.
