DIGITAL MARKETING MANAGERMIT Press (MITP), to be responsible for expanding readership via social media, raising the profile of MITP books and journals, and shaping the MITP digital marketing strategy. This includes developing, implementing, tracking, and optimizing international digital campaigns and digital and print advertising campaigns across all channels; and overseeing Press-wide social media strategy, working with a publicity team that is responsible for content.  Responsibilities include developing strategy and implementing an international advertising plan for all books and journals, including setting/managing an annual budget, scheduling the MITP advertising program in magazines, banner and other digital advertising across multiple digital channels and social media advertising; planning and executing email and other digital campaigns to newsletter subscribers (via MailChimp), developing a relationship with subscribers, developing custom email lists, and creating goals to grow the email subscriber list; measuring campaigns and looking for new digital opportunities to expand readership; developing analytics for all campaigns; tracking ROI on individual campaigns; handling overall social media strategy managed via Hootsuite for books and journals; and playing a leading role in curating the home page and other website features.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: at least four years’ work experience creating marketing content across all media, including web, social, email, and print, preferably at a trade publisher or university press; experience contributing to the creation of digital and print graphic content and overseeing the production of graphic materials contributing to the overall website strategy; excellent writing, editing, organizational, strategic and analytic-thinking, and verbal communication skills; ability to manage an annual budget; and deep knowledge of the media and marketplace.  Job #16994-P
