Marketing Coordinator


The University of Pittsburgh Press is seeking a creative, dynamic, detail-oriented team player with a passion for publishing for the position of Marketing Coordinator.

The Marketing Coordinator is a multi-faceted position that requires a variety of skill sets including the ability to write and edit compelling copy for our catalogs, website, sales material, advertising, and social media platforms. The successful candidate will also possess basic design skills and experience with Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, InDesign and Adobe Illustrator. They will be familiar with web content management systems such as WordPress and have the ability to learn different databases. The Marketing Coordinator will work closely with the Press Publicist, Marketing Assistant, and Marketing Director, as well as interact with authors, and the editorial, production, and design departments of the Press. The individual will offer substantial input into the effective presentation of information on subject series, award announcements, author events, and details on active books. Additionally, the individual will interface with printing companies and other graphic service providers for the production of marketing materials.

The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills. A Bachelors degree and a minimum of 2 years of related work experience is required. Publishing industry experience is a plus.
