PSU Press began publishing journals in 1961 when it acquired the Journal of General Education. The list grew alongside the book specialties, including philosophy, rhetoric, political science, medieval studies, and history; but has more recently expanded to bring in society-based journals that has broadened the scope of humanities and social science scholarship within journal portfolio. In 2026, PSU Press will publish 84 peer-reviewed journals of varying frequency, with four in a diamond open access format. Additionally, six archived journals are preserved, ensuring important historical scholarship remains accessible. All PSU Press journals are available online through the Scholarly Publishing Collective with each title also remaining available in a print format. PSU Press is dedicated to supporting academic communities and promoting open access and accessibility in scholarly publishing. - Journals Information
