- Original scholarly works, including books, journals, textbooks, digital scholarship, and other multimedia projects. The press publishes work for scholarly and educational audiences, as well as some for general audiences. VTP&P publishes under Virginia Tech Publishing and Virginia Tech Press. Virginia Tech Publishing was the original publisher of works released before 2025 and, more recently, student and community engaged projects. Virginia Tech Press launched in fall 2025 and focuses on peer reviewed scholarship. The press is committed to publishing open access, freely accessible work and publications are released under a Creative Commons license.
