- Cambridge University Press is the world’s oldest publisher, founded in 1534. It is an integral part of CUP&A and the University of Cambridge. It has offices in over 50 countries, and trades in over 200 territories around the world. Each year the Press publishes over 1200 new books, and over 500 short-form books known as Elements. The books program, comprising a range of digital and print formats, spans virtually all academic disciplines, and includes research monographs, handbooks, textbooks, professional reference volumes, scholarly reference works, and titles aimed at general readers. We have a healthy and growing Open Access program comprising both Gold Open Access books and titles that we have made OA in collaboration with our library partners through our Flip it Open program.
