Editorial Program
The Chinese University of Hong Kong Press (CUHK Press), established in 1977 as the publishing arm of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, is a leading English-Chinese bilingual publisher specializing in China Studies. We publish approximately 40-50 new titles each year and maintain a backlist of over 2,300 titles, with around 1,000 still in print. Our outstanding collection includes academic and trade books across various fields, such as history, philosophy, literature, translation, contemporary art, political science, sociology, anthropology, education, and medical history. In addition to our well-recognized SSCI journal, The China Review, CUHK Press publishes six other journals for various departments and units within CUHK. Our publications reach readers worldwide through a comprehensive global sales network, with representation in Greater China, North America, Europe, Australia, Japan, and India. By emphasizing high editing and publishing standards, CUHK Press has solidified its strategic role as a leading academic publisher based in Hong Kong.
