AUPresses Defends First Amendment

The Association of University Presses joins with the National Coalition Against Censorship and nearly 50 additional organizations in a joint statement supporting First Amendment rights as many Americans gather to protest police brutality following the death of George Floyd.

“We strongly urge public officials to do everything in their power to protect journalists and demonstrators, including punishing police officers who have willfully violated First Amendment rights.”
