Travel Logistics
There is a complimentary hotel shuttle to and from O’Hare International Airport. While the venue is within walking distance, there will be shuttles to the opening dinner from the hotel for those who want or need transportation.
Press Directors should plan to arrive the afternoon of Wednesday, October 22, and depart after the Summit concludes on the afternoon of Friday, October 24.
Programming
The 2025 Summit aims to address topics such as the future of the book, usage as the new currency, and of course artificial intelligence.
The program committee, chaired by John Sherer (UNC Press, at-large member, AUPresses Board of Directors), is fleshing out the agenda, which will include plenty of opportunities for structured peer-to-peer knowledge sharing.

Why Attend
Networking and informal interaction are the greatest benefit of Press Directors gathering annually in-person. While the AUPresses Annual Meeting will be virtual in 2025, the Association recognizes the value of in-person programming for Press Directors—and is committed to providing it. The sixty-seven member press directors who attended the 2023 Press Directors Summit rated the experience very highly—and we urge you all to join us for this special and enriching gathering in 2025.
