Open Access Committee Hangout: Starting to Unpack the OSTP Memo

The AUPresses Open Access Committee, chaired by Brigitte Shull (Cambridge) and Kelley Squazzo (Johns Hopkins), invites you to a special Hangout to discuss the August 25, 2022 memo from the White House Office of Science & Technology Policy (OSTP). To help our community begin the process of dialogue and analysis needed, we’ve assembled speakers from our member presses to share their perspectives on impact (which is likely to vary from press to press) and implementation-level concerns. This is also a valuable opportunity to hear from you—please bring key questions you need answered to give AUPresses better insight into where we can best support members.

Moderators: Brigitte Shull, Senior Vice President of Academic Publishing, Cambridge University Press; and Kelley Squazzo, Director of Publisher Relations for Project MUSE, Johns Hopkins University Press

Speakers: Matthew Day, Head of Open Research Policy & Partnerships, Cambridge University Press; Wendy Queen, Director of Project MUSE, Johns Hopkins University Press; and Erich van Rijn, Interim Executive Director, Finance Director, University of California Press
