Fordham University Press publishes primarily in the humanities and social sciences, with emphasis on the fields of African American studies, American studies, anthropology, communication and media studies, education, gender studies, history, literature, philosophy, race studies, religion, theology, and urban studies. Additionally, the Press publishes books focusing on the New York region and books of interest to the general public.
