- Our mission is the dissemination of scholarship to the academic community and to thoughtful general readers through content of high intellectual merit that reflects selected strengths of the university and contributes to scholarly dialogue.
URP’s publishing program is humanities-focused but intentionally broad in scope. While music remains its strongest area, accounting for approximately 35% of titles in print, the Press also maintains a robust presence in several area studies disciplines. These include African History (16%), Medical History (9%), East and Central Europe (5%), and Early Modern Europe (4%). This diversity reflects a commitment to supporting scholarship across a range of intellectually rich and globally relevant fields.
