- As the publishing house of the university founded by Thomas Jefferson, our recognized strengths are in American History, African-American History, and US Architectural History. We also have strengths in American and Victorian literature and culture, a translation series of book from the Caribbean and Northern Africa, Environmental Studies, Disability Studies, and series in religion that reflect the strengths of our university. We have a regional interest imprint called Rivanna, as well as an on-campus partnership called Darden Business Books.
