AAUP 2016 Program and Registration Open

Publishers’ June Meeting Designed to “Energize and Innovate” in Philadelphia

Online registration is now open for AAUP 2016, to be held June 16-18 at the Loews Philadelphia Hotel. More than ever, university presses are embracing experimentation and exploring new technologies, approaches, and formats to communicate scholarship to the world. In the contemporary publishing world, innovation is a core value because of the need to work efficiently and to serve partner communities effectively. The “Energize & Innovate” program offers opportunities where the AAUP community can explore new ideas, learn best practices, and collaborate.

Attending AAUP’s annual conference is a chance to step away, if only briefly, from the day‐to‐day demands of scholarly publishing. The 2016 program committee, chaired by Rob Dilworth (Duke University Press), has emphasized session formats and topics where attendees will be energized by learning new ideas and conferring with, then empowered to innovate on the return home.
