Scholarship Illuminates the Society, History, and Culture of World Cup Host
NEW YORK, NY–The World Cup kicks off in Rio de Janeiro this week, where preparations are also well underway for the 2016 Summer Olympics. As sports focus international attention on Brazil, media coverage has expanded to cover the nation’s growing economy, social tensions, and political unrest.
