The Association of American University Presses is very encouraged by the University of Akron administration’s commitment to maintaining a university press of sufficient rigor and scale to meet the criteria for ongoing AAUP membership. Events are unfolding quickly in Akron, and there are a great many details to be worked out in the weeks and months ahead. The AAUP community stands ready to do everything we can to help ensure that the University of Akron Press remains a strong and vibrant contributor to scholarship, poetry, and regional culture.
