About the AUPresses Annual Meeting
The Association of University Presses Annual Meeting is a flagship event for the nonprofit scholarly publishing community, including educational sessions, exhibits, service demos, and networking events. AUPresses 2024 will convene June 11-13 in Montréal, Quebec. Between 600 to 700 people are expected to attend. Our most recent in-person meetings in Washington DC drew more than 500 and Detroit drew more than 700 attendees. Meeting registrants represent over 160 of our Association member presses, plus staff from non-member publishers, libraries, and higher education. Press directors; editors; sales, marketing, and publicity staff; production, design, and editorial staff; financial officers; digital and audio publishing managers; journals staff; IT managers; and a variety of external scholarly publishing stakeholders are among those who regularly attend.
AUPresses members collectively publish more than 12,000 print and e-books and 2,000 journal titles each year. Members are pioneering new platforms, workflows, and dissemination strategies, and are always on the look-out for new tools and efficiencies to support their mission.
AUPresses invites event sponsors to show their support of this vital community through underwriting some of the most exciting and valued parts of the 2024 meeting and helping to keep registration fees low and accessible to the Association’s non-profit members. Sponsors are recognized prominently throughout meeting communications and the meeting space, and gain additional exposure for their products and services while helping promote vibrant dialogue and idea exchange in scholarly publishing.
