June 9-12, 2025
The AUPresses Annual Meeting will return to a virtual format in 2025, taking place on June 9-12.
The 2025 Program Committee, co-chaired by Ana Maria Jimenez-Moreno (Ohio State) and David Fabiano (California), have planned a program that aims to bring new voices together to discuss important topics for UPs and the wider scholarly publishing community.

Program
The AUPresses 2025 program centers intelligent, international, and intentional publishing, blending sessions that confront big-picture challenges with panels that dive into the nuts and bolts of the day-to-day. AUPresses 2025 will feature a special concentration of sessions on the interconnected nature of publishing, along with tracks on equity, justice, inclusion, and belonging; accessibility; networking and professional development; the international landscape; open access; and more.

Plenary Sessions and Guest Speakers
In addition to a full and enriching line up of educational sessions, AUPresses 2025 is thrilled to bring you the following plenary sessions and speakers:
Opening Plenary
Dr. Eddie R. Cole, Professor of Education and History, UCLA, in conversation with Stephanie Williams, Director, Wayne State University Press and AUPresses President-Elect 2025-2026, about Equity, Justice, Inclusion, and Belonging.
Closing Plenary
Three speakers address important issues to the AUPresses community in these urgent and difficult times: Roy Kaufman, Managing Director, Business Development and Government Relations, Copyright Clearance Center, on AI and LLMs; John Donatich, Director, Yale University Press, on trade and public engagement with books; and Rebecca Seger, Vice President of Institutional Participation and Strategic Partnerships, ITHAKA, on libraries and institutional outlook. Moderated by Dawn Durante, Editorial Director, University of North Carolina Press.

Session Recordings
AUPresses 2025 sessions will be recorded and will be available to registered attendees until January 2026 via Playback Now, and then available on an AUPresses 2025 Vimeo channel.
Please note that sessions with breakout rooms will not be recorded.
