Annual Meeting
June 9-12, 2025
The AUPresses Annual Meeting returned to a virtual format in 2025 and took place on June 9-12.
The 2025 Annual Meeting Program Committee, co-chaired by Ana Maria Jimenez-Moreno (Ohio State) and David Fabiano (California), planned a program that centered intelligent, international, and intentional publishing, blending sessions that confront big-picture challenges with panels that dive into the nuts and bolts of the day-to-day. AUPresses 2025 featured a special concentration of sessions on the interconnected nature of publishing, along with tracks on equity, justice, inclusion, and belonging; accessibility; networking and professional development; the international landscape; open access; and more.
AUPresses 2025 featured:

In addition to a full and enriching line up of educational sessions, AUPresses 2025 brought attendees the following plenary sessions and speakers:
Opening Plenary
Dr. Eddie R. Cole, Professor of Education and History, UCLA, in conversation with Stephanie Williams, Director, Wayne State University Press and AUPresses President-Elect 2025-2026, about Equity, Justice, Inclusion, and Belonging.
Closing Plenary
Three speakers addressed important issues to the AUPresses community in these urgent and difficult times: Roy Kaufman, Managing Director, Business Development and Government Relations, Copyright Clearance Center, on AI and LLMs; John Donatich, Director, Yale University Press, on trade and public engagement with books; and Rebecca Seger, Vice President of Institutional Participation and Strategic Partnerships, ITHAKA, on libraries and institutional outlook. Moderated by Dawn Durante, Editorial Director, University of North Carolina Press.
