Global Partner Program

In 2021, AUPresses launches a pilot Global Partner Program that seeks to create transnational networks for collaboration and shared learning between members of the Association and nonmember scholarly publishers located in the Global South.

Interested eligible nonmember publishers are paired with member partner presses for a one-year term. The partnering presses will share insight into their institutional and organizational contexts, provide opportunities to develop global professional networks, and facilitate staff contacts throughout publishing departments. The Association offers access to valuable membership benefits to the nonmember Global Partners for the year, including access to data resources, professional handbooks, our UP Commons community network, and members-only events.

2021 Global Partners

African Minds (Cape Town, South Africa) will work with AUPresses member Duke University Press (Durham, North Carolina, US).

Makarere University Press (Kampala, Uganda) will work with AUPresses member Liverpool University Press (Liverpool, UK).

The Association is grateful for the generous commitment of all four pilot Partners, and looks forward to learning with all. Read more about the 2021 pilot program.
