The work of AUPresses Committees and Task Forces, staffed by volunteer members, is essential to the Association. Volunteer service on an AUPresses committee offers participants the opportunity of professional development through interaction with talented colleagues. Committee members also benefit their own presses by bringing the knowledge, information, and expertise developed in committee service back to their home presses.
Anyone can volunteer. Individuals who have not been previously active in AUPresses are especially encouraged to apply.
Committee terms typically begin in July at the conclusion of the Association’s Annual Meeting. Members normally serve three-year terms (except for the Annual Meeting Program Committee and UP Week Task Force). Committee members who have served less than 3 years should confirm their continued interest in serving with their committee’s chair.
