The AUPresses Professional Development Committee is accepting applications for its 2025 Mentorship Program now through May 9, 2025.
The mentorship program connects those new to the profession with mid- and senior-level colleagues throughout the community, the Mentorship Program will be virtual in 2025.
The mentorship program encourages communication throughout the year by linking those new to the profession with mid- and senior-level colleagues. Mentors can provide mentees advice on career goals, professional development tips, and gain new perspectives. Mentees are encouraged to talk with mentors about challenges and opportunities in today’s publishing workplace.
The program does not require a significant time commitment. Mentors and mentees are introduced via email, usually in early June, and are encouraged to connect at least quarterly.
Eligibility requirements:
- Participants should be on staff at an AUPresses Member.
- Mentors should have at least three years of experience in scholarly publishing.
- Participants must adhere to the Association’s Code of Conduct.

Participants will be matched by the AUPresses Professional Development Committee. Participants will be notified of their matches around the first week of June 2025. If your contact details change or interest in the program changes in the interim, please notify Alexis Fagan at afagan@aupresses.org.
