Programs & Events

The Annual Meeting of the Association of University Presses is the premier professional development and networking event for university press and nonprofit scholarly publishers.

The Book, Jacket, and Journal Show recognizes meritorious achievement in design, production, and manufacture of books, jackets, covers, and journals by members of the university press community.

These professional education opportunities are designed to help member presses fulfill their missions more creatively and efficiently, and to allow staff of member presses to enhance their professional knowledge.

An annual celebration to recognize the impact that a global community of university presses has on every one of us. We mark University Press Week each November with a new theme, events, and featured work.

The Association of University Presses is home to award programs designed to honor individuals who work to sustain the university press community.

Listing both Association and external events including scholarly communications conferences, professional development opportunities, and more.

Every year a volunteer panel of Public Library Association and AASL librarians review and select 300+ titles published by Association member presses to build this valued collection development resource.

The Association and its members are a community of readers! Who, not incidentally, publish a great deal of wonderful and recommended reads. Check out some of our reading lists and events.
