AUPresses Webinar: The State of DEIA Efforts at University Presses: An AUPresses Member Town Hall and Discussion

Hosted by the Equity, Justice, Inclusion and Belonging Committee

The Equity, Justice, Inclusion, and Belonging (EJIB) committee is organizing a virtual event for all members to discuss the state of the publishing industry and higher education, where university presses are at the center of that nexus, with respect to the impact of recent federal actions on workplace safety, censorship, and press business in general. The event will feature a short introduction by the EJIB committee, followed by a roundtable with our speakers and then a section for facilitated discussion open to all attendees. The goal of this discussion forum is to bring AUPresses members together to share news and experiences, and to begin to build conversations and structures for community and industry responses in the face of these challenges.

Due to the sensitive nature of this discussion, we expect all participants and attendees to adhere to the AUPresses Code of Conduct, as well as Chatham House Rules. Please reach out to Carah Naseem at carah.naseem@rutgers.edu if you have any questions or concerns

*This session is members only and will not be recorded.
