Hosted by the Equity, Justice, Inclusion and Belonging Committee
This is a follow-up on the town hall that was held earlier this year, in April, with the hopes that we can continue discussions as a community and industry on the impacts that recent federal actions have had on workplace safety, censorship, and press business in general, and to keep building towards solutions and mutual aid across our industry.
The event will feature a short introduction by members of the EJIB committee, followed by an open and facilitated discussion with all attendees. If you would like some time to speak on the challenges your press is facing, please do reach out, as we’ll schedule some more time at the top for “formal” presentations before we go to a facilitated discussion. The goal of this discussion forum is to bring AUPresses members together to share news and experiences that have elapsed since we last met six months ago, and to continue to build conversations and structures for community and industry responses in the face of these challenges.
Due to the sensitive nature of this discussion, we expect all participants and attendees to adhere to the AUPresses Code of Conduct, as well as Chatham House Rules. Please reach out to Carah Naseem at carah.naseem@rutgers.edu if you have any questions or concerns.
This session is members only and will not be recorded.
