The Association of University Presses (AUPresses) has signed the Publishing Inclusion Pledge, committing to building a more inclusive publishing industry in the UK. Organized by the Publishers Association, this initiative recognizes the value of diverse perspectives in publishing and aims to help publishers to take meaningful action to support inclusion in all its forms through recruitment, professional development, leadership, and partnerships.

Equity and inclusion are core values of AUPresses, a global community of more than 160 mission-driven scholarly publishers—including 9 member presses in the UK and Ireland. We agree with the Publishers Association and pledge signatories that “Our commitment to inclusion and widening participation guides how we work, what we create, and the stories, information, knowledge, and ideas we share, reflecting the diversity of the world we serve.”
