A look at how ethical considerations, particularly with regard to diversity, inclusion, and equity, have informed the Association's core values, and how the Association and our individual members are putting those values in action.
Attempts to ban frank discussion of our shared national and global past, or to legislate against critical tools of humanistic scholarship, are antithetical to the Association’s core values of intellectual freedom and integrity.
We commit with renewed vigor to publishing the truth, however uncomfortable, to speaking facts to power, and to advancing knowledges that can help all of us to bring about justice and equity in this world.
The 160 members of @aupresses are clearly at the heart of today's conversations about the importance of educational autonomy from political interference. #intellectualfreedom is a core value of our Association, https://aupresses.org/about-aupresses/our-core-values/
An inspiring overview of the nation's capital as @aupresses participates in the @HumanitiesAll meeting and advocacy day at a time when academic freedom is under threat because of State legislation based on red herrings. #had23
@w_carruthers I am attending the @HumanitiesAll national meeting and advocacy day as president of @aupresses. Every policy employer I meet wants humanities PhDs. They understand how change happens and can be made to happen, how identity is formed and how it changes, how institutions work . . .
